Terry Bowling

Terry Bowling is a Focusing Trainee who knows that feelings are safe. He’s a harm reduction and sober coach, pulling from multiple modalities including twelve step for 37 years, as well as Dr. Ryce’s “Why is this Happening to me… Again!?!?” work.

Feelings are safe to feel, “I’ve never met an addict yet that has died from having a feeling!” Milton Burrill, a lifelong mentor and guide. My background in construction helps me reach many people who may not normally seek out assistance with their problems. Coming into a twelve step program over 37 years ago was the beginning of a life long journey of self-exploration. Along the course of my journey I met Dr. Michael Ryce, and have been involved with his body of work that he developed from his experience with the Aramaic language. His “Why is this Happening to me…..Again!?!?” book, and the tools he developed, have been part of my practice for over 20 years.

I discovered gene Gendlin on YouTube and after studying and practicing on my own for a few weeks, I understood how Focusing can be an aid to the work I do. I was hooked. The results are undeniable. With excitement and determination, I want to share this with as many folks as I can.

Feelings are safe! Not only are they safe but I see them as a gateway to an adventurous journey available to anyone who is willing to dive into the experience. Annette Dubreuil, PUPA Focusing Certification Program, has put together another fabulous body of work that I am proud to be a part of!

Terry is available for 1:1 Focusing sessions Monday-Friday (8 am-4 pm) and Saturdays (9 am-3 pm), Eastern time. As well, he welcomes special requests for appointments at any other time.
