Hanan Schwefel

PUPA Focusing Trainee Hanan Schwefel is a humanitarian and a spiritual seeker.

Growing up with parents who came from the Holocaust in Europe (vicarious trauma), I became a humanitarian and a spiritual seeker. I traveled extensively and spent years living in spiritual communities, practicing & teaching Bhakti yoga and food yoga.

I find special joy in feeding/nourishing people with compassionate, vegetarian, intentionally prepared food for the last 25 years at “Krishna Lunch” and the “Krishna Farm” Sunday feast and festivals.

For my self-realization, together with my yoga practice and studying scriptures, I learned and participated in different workshops and seminars, including NVC, Bayron Katie School, Satvatove, Self-Compassion, Men's Work, OPP, Internal Family Systems, and more.

Finding ‘focusing’ a few years ago, I felt deeply grateful and connected with principles that felt so familiar from my yoga practice, things like staying compassionate, present, using kindness and words that create connection.

Focusing became an important part of my life. I find inspiration in those words of Gendlin:

“We think more than we can say,
We feel more than we can think.
We live more than we can feel.
And there is much more still.”

As a wounded healer, I would like to offer to listen and accompany you in creating a space that is compassionate and creates connection that will hopefully lead us to a different state of consciousness, starting by paying attention to what is and what is manifesting in the body.

Hanan lives in U.S.A. and is in the Eastern Time Zone. He is available for 1:1 Focusing sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-9 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays from 12-8 pm.
