Shahd Omar is a trauma-sensitive embodiment coach based in Cairo.

Shahd has been practicing yoga since 2007, and teaching since 2017. In those years she developed her non-tradtitional approach to somatics, because there is no one-size-fits all. Her practice draws from Focusing, yoga, dance, qi gong, traditional Chinese energetics, and pain science. She loves to move and learn about the body. She also has a background in women's health topics, and teaches pleasure-forward pelvic embodiment, with a special focus on consent. There are hundreds of ways to do that: to discover your body, your voice, your place in the world. Now as a teacher, her goal is to help you find resilience by meeting your body with a fresh set of eyes and a newfound curiosity. Together, we can ask important questions, seek challenges, and trust our bodies to know the answers. This wisdom and freedom is our birthright.
