PUPA Focusing Trainee Marcel McClain is a licensed clinical social worker.
I came upon Focusing by accident and it has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. I have spent years seeking healing through various means. While they have each been valuable, nothing is quite like Focusing.
I love that there is always something new, something unexpected, and yet something very familiar. I am continuously awed by the way my bodily impression of an experience holds the imprint of insight I can't reach cognitively.
Focusing has brought more confidence and self-trust to my life, knowing that I can always check into the Felt Sense for the answers I need.
I am passionate about sharing Focusing with others, maybe you? I am a recently licensed clinical social worker, and I bring additional training in Focusing Oriented Therapy. This affords me flexibility in how I listen to you – I can sit in silence and hold space for your process or gently guide you through that exploration.
Whichever is best for you in the moment, both approaches facilitate insight that is the truest for you in the moment. I have come to be in awe at the magic that happens when two or more people explore within an intentional, relational space.
I would love to hold the container for you as you dive deep (or just dip your toe) into the vast complexity of your experience and disseminate its meaning for your life.
Marcel is available for 1:1 Focusing sessions weekday evenings between 5-7 pm, Eastern time.
